నీకొక నీదైన అంగం కావాలా?

తీసుకు వెళ్ళు, నా హృదయాన్ని
ఒక ప్రాచీన సమాధిని=

ఆదిమ గుహలలోంచి
వెలువడతారు ఇద్దరు, ముగ్గురుగా

నీలినిప్పుల దుస్తులలో అతడు
పొడుగాటి కాళ్ళతో
నిండైన కనులతో, జ్వలించే ఒక
రాత్రి లాంతరుతో ఆమె

అస్వస్థత కలిగించే
ఒక చీకటి విరజిమ్మే
నల్లటి పరిమళంతో

వెలువడతారు ముగ్గురు
ఇద్దరుగా=

చీకటిలోంచే వస్తుంది
ఒక చిన్న యేరు, కరకర ధ్వనులతో
ప్రాచీన నిర్మాణాలతో
ప్రాచీన శకలాలతో=

ఉత్తినే చెట్ల గురించి ఆలోచించు:

చెట్లు, కూర్చున్న పక్షులతో
ఎగిరిపోయే పక్షులతో
శీతాకాలంలో నక్షత్రాలకింద
అలా మిగిలి ఉన్న చెట్లు=

ఆ తరువాత నీ మీదుగా
ఆ ఏడు నక్షత్రాలు
నిర్మలమైన అరణ్యం మీదుగా సాగిపోతాయి.
