the blood sings otherwise

the blood sings otherwise. the birds that nest in your body, the wind that sounds like a lullaby in your body and the voice that speaks of a language of magical signs, they all sing otherwise. a breeze is a whirlwind, birds are the agonized calls of freedom and the magical signs are the perfumed drops of existence that call for the destruction of the self. the blood sings otherwise. through the deception and the violence of a friend, through the love and the violence of a woman, the blood sings and speaks otherwise.

crystal

crystal, crystal clear are your eyes
that watch the night
made white by crystal, crystal
gaze of your pain.

you. You of mine:
white is the light that binds us
to our father
who is made into night
by the color of white:

there is no Mother.

this chest of mine is a graveyard.
come. fall or bury
yourself in the wide open arms
of mine: arms
that are wide open, without
the promise of future
or the burden of the past.

did you see?

i am the night made into white
as light by the presence
of your night that is crystal, crystal
clear gaze of your pain.

come. fall, bury or you can die
easily in these arms
that are as barren as the country
of mine. take this:

i love you, though i know not
what love is:

once again

Once again, am drinking roses, am drinking sunshine am drinking moonlight: roses with thorns, thorns with roses, roses of colorless light am drinking, and am dreaming.
once again I have become a rose, have become sunshine, moonlight and have become a lake where fishes are flowers with dreams in their wombs.
I have become a poem, have become these words, have become these words roses placed at your feet: roses are lamps placed at your feet, roses are lamps placed at your cemetery. It is only that I wish there won’t be rain tonight, rain of petals less flowers, rain, song and self.

II

What has an old man’s age got to do with his heart? What has an old man’s age got to do with drink, with love?

He says, “ I too am a drink, I too have become beautiful and graceful with the years gone by. Don’t look at me like that when I dance, when my whole being becomes a bird, bird of light, bird of roses. Am a rose with wings, am a rose flying high in the sky and this drink is the sun in whose lap I dance and lose myself. Am an infant, have lately found what I am, have lately found what God is, what life is and more importantly what death is.”

III

Her naked body spreads on the earth like a blue rose, and her hands that remind him of elegant long white serpents, stretch for his body. He says that she said to him on that very day before she died: “You look beautiful tonight, wish you were a drink so that I could take you in one gulp.”

Her breasts are sunflowers. Flowers of sun laugh at him while her pubis a pink rose in a black garden is a cloud, is a rain: over the valley over the ocean and over his being.

VI

Once again am drinking beings, am drinking existences am drinking the blood of memories. Am a Dracula for this moment, and a cannibal for this moment. Am drinking and eating, am drinking and dreaming, my Father the other, am intoxicated with the blood of my ancestors. The sky is but skins of my grandparents, crippled, comprehending and it still smells like the burnt wood at the kitchen in the shack that they lived. Where are they? Where am I? Where are others too?

V

An old man, so lonely writes words that are his only consolation. Autumn of patriarch: I say. He says: “one has to live: for others.” But at night when he wanders in the paths of his self he knows that his life had been a mirage. That he lived spoke and behaved exactly as others wanted him to be. He loved and still loves as others want him to be. Deep in his heart a sentence hangs like death, like the scent of the woman he loved but could not live with. He asks, “ Is this me? Is this I? Words that I have not written words that have not said all these years when they should have been said? What is death? What is death? Will it be like the touch of my mother, the other, will it be like the breast of my lover that I lost or will it be like the gestures of my companion who died leaving me a memory of my name?” He asks, “Is life a memory?”

VI

Once again, am drinking with an old man who dreams that he is a song sung by his beloved. A song sung by memory,
Once again, am drinking and dreaming with a blind man who says that he sees doves flutter in twilight, and sound of the flapping wings in but her words. Her words that have become his song. A song of existence, song of death. He says, “Dear oh dear, why is the world so beautiful when one has no eyes?”

VII

Old men and young women. Ah, once again am drinking and dreaming with old women and young men. Am dreaming friends, birds, roses and thorns. Am drinking and dreaming sunshine and moonlight, and it is just then that he says: “Friends are birds. Friends are migrating birds.” Later I dream of a colorless bird perched on the edge of my dream. It seems to say: am a rose, am sunshine am the reason for your existence. Dare to fly with me? I will take you to the edge of existence. I will take you to the edge of yourself. Have your glimpsed death in every word that you write?”

VIII

“That we are all alone” he says, “ is a condition. We are all guests of eternity, of death. This life is but the flicker of a lamp before it fades out, this world is but a breeze, a rain and a flame that we witness for a moment. Do you have a woman? Like a rose, like a drink, like violence, like the flute song of the sea to see what it means to be?”

“Think of this” he says, “are you a rose? Are you a song? Or a thought that thinks of a rose and a song?”

IX

I say: “there should be a thanks giving moment to all those people who give life to moment, to this moment. I say that these words are nothing but signs of gratitude intoxicated with life and death. I say thanks to those who pour their existence to fill the empty of my being. I raise my cup, my holy grail, to You, to You alone anonymous strangers who bring with them resonance of a song, of a rose of a thorn of a cloud and rain to drench my being slowly but surely.

X

He says: for some time, for sometime please forget about words that you have written. Please stop thinking yourself as your words. Then, only then will you see that you are a rose, a colorless rose and a bird, a cloud and rain.

An old man with the heart of a young woman. He is a young woman with the heart of an old man. And then he says, “ I have to go. One has to leave at the right time. One has to leave like leaving itself.”

XI

“Are you leaving”, I ask, “Are you leaving just like that? “

“Like a rose, a thorn, a cloud, rain and the song of a bird”, he says, “everyone will leave just like that. Live, live. Live like a rose that is lost it its form, like a cloud that is lost in its rain, like a bird that is lost in its flight. Am an empty cup, so are you. Am a moment here and now, so are you. Live, live like the memory of the love that is gone but still alive by being lost. Live, live.”

XII

Once again, am drinking and dreaming, have become a rose drunk by its form, a tree lost in the rain. Am a drink that you hold in your palm, am the madness in your heart, am a fire, memory of a fire in your being. Old man, a stranger, my other, my mother, Holy Father, sinner and the saint, angel and the beast, you are a tear crystallized at the edge of my being. Take these words that I pour into your cup as love, as life as touch that you have longed for and a breath that you gasped for.

XIII

Once again am drinking roses, am drinking sunshine, am drinking moonlight, roses with thorns, thorns with roses, roses of light, light of roses, am drinking and dreaming, like the memory of a dream, like dreaming a memory. Am drinking roses, am drinking thorns, am drinking sunshine in moonlight, moonlight in sunshine am dreaming and drinking, bleeding for a word, a voice and a gaze of Yours_

statue of a woman in love

It was an evening marked by shady sunlight and he felt those sun rays were like little fish floating in the air, and he doesn’t know why but all he knew was it was just like that. And then, the woman in love asked him

Why do you turn everything into such a complex mess? Can’t you be simple?

He was surprised. He was swimming with the little fish floating among the trees. Those fish carried flowers and rose petals, which told him that they were children of the god. He was surprised because people couldn’t understand it and he thought that everything was simple. so simple. Later

He took a sharp knife as sharp as the edge of the being and pierced himself seven times to the left of his chest. Drops of blood trickled. A little later they turned into white butterflies with the eyes of blood. They hovered around him and settled on the naked breasts of woman in love. As he tried to see, he found out that there were no breasts for the woman in love but only marks of raw wounds out of which grew a nest with a three-month-old aborted fetus.

The fetus, a pool of blood, grew little wings and began to fly. He, with blood on his chest, his mouth and eyes, stared at the fish, fetus and the woman in love. As he stared, the woman in love slowly turned into a statue with her hands stretched towards eternity as if to hold something or to let off something. The statue of woman in love. “Statue of the woman in love” he mumbled as tears flowed from his eyes and her vagina, “God, why is life so simple?”

Statue of a woman in love. Her tongue was cut. It had eyes, only her eyes were living and breathing, breathing and living, with two red roses beginning to blossom in the place of her breasts. “Roses of blood” he thought, “roses of blood are the blood of the roses.” As he wept with joy, the eyes of the statue of woman in love yearned for a place where they could be prayed. “Hunter becomes the hunted” he thought, “Observer becomes the observed. Are these roses of blood or words of breast that I am picking up?”

Statue of a woman in love: a little boy stares at the blood and at her eyes which fiercely moved like trees in a violent night. He thought, “Is there a language? Is there a body? Is there a language without a body and a body not sculpted in language?” And then

A song, only a song sank into the depths of the earth. A song by the statue of a woman in pain dissolved into the depths of the universe, into the depths of his self and the little boy standing there. He weept with joy and mumbled to the little boy, “This is how the universe began. This is how life began. This is how everything begins: this is what love is, this is what death is as it is. Don’t you see, god, why is life so simple?”

Statue of a woman in love: stone eyes stone thighs and stone breasts bleeding milk of blood, love and death so that the kid in front of the woman in love could drink and live, live and drink, could drink the blood and write, could cuddle under shade of her breasts, rosebushes and sleep so that later he could, little by little, sculpt and hurt her little by little, so that later talk about statue of a woman in love with living breasts, so that later he could write about how the statue had become a home to him and told him stories, of how he drank her blood, her tears of vagina

Only to see, only to see that he could kill her, little by little, in order to live, and write about

the blood, the body, the home and birds that he took away from her, little by little: just like that.

God, why is life so simple?

chosen

this life, a nameless flower that I offer- as a prayer moment by moment- to you, did I choose this, or was I chosen?
***
a lonely colorless rose blooms in the middle of the night, in my heart that bleeds by the very presence of an unseen rose. the blood drops that have become seals of your signature over my being, are they yours or mine?
***
the hands that guide me when I’m asleep, dreaming or awake, are they yours or mine? the still gaze that watches everything, perhaps with a smile, through my eyes is it yours, my lord, or mine?

the days and nights that I spend with stars or not, with moon or not, every moment that I live carrying this immense longing, a colorless bird singing a primordial song in my being every moment, and this moment itself an immense ocean of an imminent death, are they yours or mine, my lord

am drowned, am negated, am obliterated for a moment, for only a moment: am holding a lonely colorless rose that has bloomed in the middle of the night in my heart that bleeds by the very presence of an unseen rose. this, my life, whatever counts in it, whatever becomes a memory, whatever sustains for a little longer by becoming a memory, this, my life, my lord has become a shade of someone else I feel but cannot see, this, my life my lord, has become a pool, an evening sky and a breeze that comes from elsewhere.
***
this life, a nameless flower that I offer as a prayer moment by moment to you did I choose this, or was I chosen?

flight of the eagle

these waters carry your image at twilight
the setting sun that has become
a twinkle in your penetrating eyes
are nothing but

you. ever so observant and ever so still
soaring high in the sky, or sitting still
at the top of a mountain

isn’t it that you carry with you
a silent primordial voice
which somehow descends over this heart
with a pang, like a sudden stab
that neither knows joy nor faith?

your feathers like petals of a golden flower
your claws that firmly hold time
your beak raised high to the skies
and your enormous incomparable loneliness
embodied in your effortless flight

isn’t it that you are an emblem
a trace and the signature of that unseen breath?
perhaps death?

isn’t that you carry with you
a silent primordial gesture
that somehow descends over this heart
with sudden sadness
like a sudden stab
coming out from the depths of universe,
to burn and annihilate this self?

one has to flow, like the water that carries
your image at twilight
one has to fly like the effortless flapping
of your wings
soaring and piercing the air
one has to see the face of death
in this moment and laugh with it
one has to move and yet anchor
in the stillness of oneself
silent and yet singing to die
living an effortless existence
solitary but never lonely,
to be and to touch
this earth water and the wind
without sadness or remorse
to be able to hold nothing
and contain all

perhaps then, perhaps then
a silent primordial voice
that somehow descends over
this heart with a pang
like a sudden stab
that neither knows joy nor faith,
will become that very voice
that very breath
an emblem a trace and the signature
of that unseen presence.

is

Whatever there is, is there to indicate what is and what is not: the words of the rose are roses of the words, unheard yet calling unseen yet breathing.

That breathing, that breathing that rests like a bird is your heartbeat, unheard and unseen yet calling and breathing.
***
This rapturous song has begun elsewhere, this immense call of the ocean that carries an unnamed voice, this steady breeze that brings home the message of the twilight, trees that stand still weighed by an unfathomable sadness, these two eyes that witness stars, sky earth and the moon, all these have all begun elsewhere.
***
This rapturous song has begun elsewhere: traveling and selling our songs of amnesia we forgot our home, we forgot to return. We forgot that breathing where we rest like a bird, unheard and unseen yet calling us and breathing for us. the words of the rose are roses of the words, unheard yet calling unseen yet breathing
***
It is at such moments that suddenly we come to see that the sun is a flower that we can hold in our hands and smell it. it is at those moments that we laugh, that we peel the sun petal by petal and turn the oceans into a glass of wine and drink and drink, till the moon comes out till the birds come out till the wind starts singing a rapturous song that had begun elsewhere. Then, we sing and laugh, we laugh and sing, we sing with happy abandon, we sing and sing as we are going to die, and we are going to die as we have known the miracle of death, birth and existence. we laugh and laugh, we laugh like God, as we know the laughter of the God, we laugh for his laughter, we laugh at his laughter, we laugh at him we laugh at us we laugh at the sun that has come out in the middle of the night to bloom, to become a flower in our hands so that we can hold it in our hands and smell it, we can squeeze drops of honey from it and drink and drink till we sing once again that rapturous song that had begun elsewhere, till we rest in that breathing like a bird, unheard and unseen, yet calling us and breathing for us: the words of the rose are roses of the words, unheard yet calling unseen yet breathing.
***
Whatever there is, is there to indicate what is and what is not: the words of the rose are resonance of that which is not a rose unheard yet calling unseen yet breathing.

unedited

death comes over the corn fields, traveling from night
to night, from air to air, from star to star
bringing with it the scent of the dying summer blowing
dust in your eyes: death comes over the corn fields
over the white sheets sprawled across the rooms
with the white smell, with the pale touch of a woman
waiting, with the blue of his mute pain, death, death comes
over the corn fields through the eyes of a child.

A child. Simply a child. A simple child, dies through
The course of the midnight, while outside
Paths grow pines, the whole of the distance that one cannot
reach whines, and between your eyes
that are born to die and my eyes that are born to suffer
the whole of the distance that one has crossed over to live
like bread before the dead crumbles, blowing dust
of the dead in our eyes.

finally with mouth, eyes and hands smeared with blood
with words, deeds and crimes unsaid, with the shame of
one’s face and gestures reflected, deflected in a mirror
with the curling of your breath, beneath
the speechless dream of death, your birth is carefully buried

in the white of light, light of the white, of all the white
white of death, death of the white, the flock of death
the folds of death. How, how does it come? Does it come

like a midnight breeze? Does it come like the breeze of
the soul? Does it come easily like the breeze
of the soul at the gates of death? How does it come? How
does it come: this death over the cornfields
over the agonized bodies of the loved ones, over the
carelessness of the loved ones, how does it come

does it, does it come running over the dreams of
her children? How does it come
does it, does it come raining with the eyes of a woman?
Does it, does it come with the choked voice of a son
who is not a son and a daughter who is not a daughter?

How does it come, how does the death over the cornfields come
Does it, does it come over the falling skies
Over a wounded word, a word buried under the inheritance
of the dead? Or does it, does it come
like a gesture that calls for a touch, a touch that calls for
a voice and a voice that retreats
to a corner without a resonance?

What is death and what is life, in your words and your voice?
Is it an emblem that you can manipulate? Or
Is it a flag that I cannot forge any allegiance with? Or
Is it a song, umbilical song that one is born with, but
Cannot sing or cannot become a song any longer?

What is death? Or you death? You can speak of all stones, song
of all songs, rhythm of all rhythms, but can you
speak of the betrayal of the word by another word: that is you?
You: a word that I believed in. You:a word that I sustained on.
You: a word that has become you of my word. You.
How does a word, a syllable, a song of your flight, a laugh
That fluttered across your lips in another time have become
a seizure, a mutilated gaze, an amputated call
straining forever over their mute invitations?

Do you see? Did you see? Will you ever see? This death coming
Over the cornfields, death coming over the white
Sheets sprawled across the rooms that you never visit anymore?

Do you see? Did you see? Will you ever see? This death coming
Over the cornfields with frozen touch and frozen smell
move over the darkening shadows as a circular mime?

Haven’t you, haven’t you recognized, the reflection of your blood
Of your death, a tiny speck of the universe
That floats around you to become, what we call “we?” that is death?

When the song comes down, when the sky comes down
When the love of the sacrificed lambs come down
When a man wanders through the streets painted white by your death
With a knife soaked in the blood of mothers and others

what do you do when a man, simply a man, a simple man
wanders through the hearts of the streets, calling you, pleading you
Whispering to you that you are the one who made him to call
out of whispers, out of silent screams, out of long lost
Words, that are entangled as the murmurs of the murderers, under
The bridge: what do you do

Who does one call, who does one plead, who does one shout for?

Light: light of life, life of death and death of love:
there over here, in a moment of fading flicker, one sees death smile
at the corner of her eyes, at the winking eyes of a child
there; over here, a palm becomes a thatched roof for a fading lamp.
With the certainty of a peace descending over the hilltops
with the certainty of a life spreading across the horizon

death comes over the corn fields, traveling from night to night, from
air to air, from star to star bringing with it the scent of the coming
summer blowing cold breath into our burning eyes: death comes
over the corn fields, over the white sheets sprawled across the rooms
with the white smell, with the simmering touch of a woman waiting,
with the blue of his white pain, death, death comes
over the cornfields through the eyes of a child.

bonobo: the alpha female. The term alpha female originated in field of animal behavior, but has acquired new meaning. It refers to women who are in charge, for example, by flirting and dating on their own terms. The original meaning of "alpha female," however, is exactly the same as that of "alpha male": being the highest ranking member of one's sex.

An Alpha Female is a dominant female in a group. She dates as many males as she wants, is strong and confident, and a hard worker as well as often busy. She is usually sarcastic because she's powerful and playful. Alpha Females are intelligent, intellectual problem solvers; and though being an alpha female is more of a state of mind than a physicality, an alpha understands that dressing up or sexy increases her power in society, so she does it.

*collage poetry: a work assembled wholly or partly from fragments of other writings, incorporating allusions, quotations, and foreign phrases.

The word collage comes from the French verb coller and refers literally to “pasting, sticking, or gluing,” as in the application of wallpaper. In French, collage is also idiomatic for an “illicit” sexual union, two unrelated “items,” being pasted or stuck together.

((Wreading of M.S naidu's "kaalapu nethramekkada". (Naiduki kruthagnalathatho)

**the word wreading is the result of two different words: writing and reading, and it represents a response to the increasingly active role of the reader in modern literature. is is also used to suggest to describe 'reader cum writer" concept introduced by Bolter. the term was later used in the context of hypertext theory and digital literature.))

will be posting more on this: later.

"Sex is kicking death in the ass while singing."

"Drinking is an emotional thing. It joggles you out of the standardism of everyday life, out of everything being the same. It yanks you out of your body and your mind and throws you against the wall. I have the feeling that drinking is a form of suicide where you're allowed to return to life and begin all over the next day. It's like killing yourself, and then you're reborn. I guess I've lived about ten or fifteen thousand lives now."

"those who escape hell
however
never talk about
it
and nothing much
bothers them
after
that."

Nothing was ever in tune. People just blindly grabbed at whatever there was: communism, health foods, zen, surfing, ballet, hypnotism, group encounters, orgies, biking, herbs, Catholicism, weight-lifting, travel, withdrawal, vegetarianism, India, painting, writing, sculpting, composing, conducting, backpacking, yoga, copulating, gambling, drinking, hanging around, frozen yogurt, Beethoven, Back, Buddha, Christ, TM, H, carrot juice, suicide, handmade suits, jet travel, New York City, and then it all evaporated and fell apart. People had to find things to do while waiting to die. I guess it was nice to have a choice."

"The shortest distance between two points is often unbearable."

"It was true that I didn’t have much ambition, but there ought to be a place for people without ambition, I mean a better place than the one usually reserved. How in the hell could a man enjoy being awakened at 6:30 a.m. by an alarm clock, leap out of bed, dress, force-feed, shit, piss, brush teeth and hair, and fight traffic to get to a place where essentially you made lots of money for somebody else and were asked to be grateful for the opportunity to do so?"

"there is always one woman to save you from another and as that woman saves you she makes ready to destroy"

"Poetry is what happens when nothing else can."

"Love is all right for those who can handle the psychic overload. It's like trying to carry a full garbage can on your back over a rushing river of piss."

— Charles Bukowski

charles bukowski

"Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead."

"If you're going to try, go all the way. Otherwise, don't even start. This could mean losing girlfriends, wives, relatives and maybe even your mind. It could mean not eating for three or four days. It could mean freezing on a park bench. It could mean jail. It could mean derision. It could mean mockery--isolation. Isolation is the gift. All the others are a test of your endurance, of how much you really want to do it. And, you'll do it, despite rejection and the worst odds. And it will be better than anything else you can imagine. If you're going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It's the only good fight there is."

"For those who believe in God, most of the big questions are answered. But for those of us who can't readily accept the God formula, the big answers don't remain stone-written. We adjust to new conditions and discoveries. We are pliable. Love need not be a command nor faith a dictum. I am my own god. We are here to unlearn the teachings of the church, state, and our educational system. We are here to drink beer. We are here to kill war. We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us."

"That's the problem with drinking, I thought, as I poured myself a drink. If something bad happens you drink in an attempt to forget; if something good happens you drink in order to celebrate; and if nothing happens you drink to make something happen."

"We're all going to die, all of us, what a circus! That alone should make us love each other but it doesn't. We are terrorized and flattened by trivialities, we are eaten up by nothing. "

"Boring damned people. All over the earth. Propagating more boring damned people. What a horror show. The earth swarmed with them."

"there is a loneliness in this world so great
that you can see it in the slow movement of
the hands of a clock.

people so tired
mutilated
either by love or no love.

people just are not good to each other
one on one.

the rich are not good to the rich
the poor are not good to the poor.

we are afraid.

our educational system tells us
that we can all be
big-ass winners.

it hasn't told us
about the gutters
or the suicides.

or the terror of one person
aching in one place
alone

untouched
unspoken to

watering a plant."
